Permission to Roam.
A better way to connect people looking for somewhere to explore with landowners willing to let them, on the landowner’s terms.

The problem
Access is harder than it should be.
Australia has vast areas of privately held land full of tracks, trails and places people would love to explore. At the same time, recreational access is getting harder, not easier.
Landowners have legitimate concerns: who’s on the property, liability, fire, biosecurity, behaviour, damage, and the simple fact that "no" is easier than managing "yes".
Users have the opposite problem. Most want to do the right thing and have no practical way to find out where access is available or ask for it.
Roava is being built to sit between those two sides.
The platform
A marketplace for access.
Roava is being designed as a permission-based marketplace between landowners and recreational users.
Landowners decide who can come, when, for what, under what rules, and at what price. Users get a legitimate way to discover places, request access, understand the rules and plan a trip.
Nothing about Roava creates a right to enter private property. It gives landowners better tools to say yes.
The opportunity
Underused land, without taking control from its owners.
The marketplace only works if both sides get real value. That constraint is the product.
Scale
Australian first. Not Australian only.
Roava is being built for Australia first. The problem it solves isn’t local: private land, recreational demand and landowner management exist in every developed market. If the model proves out here, the platform is designed to travel.
Why Roava
Four things it has to get right.
Experience
Discovering and accessing a new place should be simple and worth it.
Access
Open legitimate pathways onto land that would otherwise stay closed.
Security
Give landowners visibility and control over who’s on their property.
Safety
Better information, accountability and communication for everyone involved.
