Investors

Long-term value, built by hand.

Agile Labs puts capital and operating experience into businesses with the potential to become much larger over time, and owns them for the long run. This page explains how we think about that.

Private ownership

Privately owned. No quarter to answer to.

Agile Labs is privately owned. That means we can make decisions that cost profit this year to build a stronger business in five, ten or twenty.

New products, tooling, inventory, people, software, international expansion, physical sites, acquisitions: the question is never just what returns the most this quarter. It’s where capital builds the strongest business over the horizon we actually care about.

Investment case

Why the group is structured the way it is.

  1. Owner-operator model

We build and run our businesses. Strategy, product, systems, supply chain and growth are things we do, not things we review.

  2. Learned by building from zero

Agile Labs has spent years creating businesses from scratch. The Cut, Keepiece and consulting work produced different commercial outcomes, but each developed capability across software, e-commerce, brand, acquisition and operations. G.O.A.T Offroad became the clearest proof that this accumulated experience could be turned into a deliberately scalable operating company. Roava and the current incubation pipeline now test whether that capability can be applied repeatedly across different markets.

  3. Portfolio, not a single bet

The holding structure separates operating risk, lets capital move between opportunities, and means no one company defines the value of the group.

  4. Long-term ownership

We are comfortable making decisions that may not maximise short-term profit where we believe they create a materially stronger business over time. Product development, engineering, technology, inventory, systems, people, international expansion and acquisitions can all require investment before the benefit becomes obvious. We are prepared to make those investments when the underlying opportunity justifies them.

Structure

Building the group on purpose.

For most of its history, the group’s value sat inside one operating company. The 2026 restructure changes that.

The holding structure allows Agile Labs to separate operating risk, allocate capital between businesses, launch new ventures, make acquisitions, hold long-term assets, bring in strategic investors where it makes sense, and recycle capital over time.

Group financial and operating information is provided directly to shareholders, lenders, prospective investors and advisers, rather than published on this website. Make an investor enquiry.

Pipeline

A visible development pipeline.

We do not expect every idea entering Agile Labs to become a company. The group is deliberately creating a pipeline where opportunities can be tested before significant capital is committed.

The purpose of incubation is not to maximise the number of portfolio companies. It is to improve the quality of the decisions about which businesses deserve to be built.

Our businesses

Growth strategy

Five engines.

  1. Scale what we own

The highest-quality opportunities are often already inside the group. Existing businesses get first call on capital.

  2. Build new businesses

Where our experience gives a real advantage, we start companies. Roava is the first major venture under the new structure.

  3. Acquire when it’s smarter than building

Over time we expect acquisitions of businesses, brands, intellectual property, distribution capability and strategic property to become a larger part of growth. We are most interested where Agile Labs can materially improve the business through capital, capability, systems, distribution or long-term ownership.

  4. Expand internationally

Australia stays the home market. It doesn’t have to stay the largest. E-commerce, distribution partners and eventually overseas operations widen the addressable market for every business we own.

  5. Own strategic physical assets

Workshops, warehousing, commercial property, destination sites. Assets that support an operating advantage, not assets for show.

Capital allocation

Capital should have a job.

Every dollar kept in a business has an opportunity cost. The group’s role is to decide where it works hardest.
  1. Existing operations

Inventory, people, marketing, systems, working capital.

  2. Product development

    Engineering, tooling, testing, IP.

  3. Technology

    Internal systems and customer-facing software.

  4. International growth

    Distribution, market entry, local capability.

  5. Physical expansion

    Workshops, stores, warehousing, property.

  6. New ventures

Funding businesses through development and early trading.

  7. Acquisitions

Where the strategic and financial case is clear.

  8. Balance sheet

Not every dollar needs deploying. Resilience is what lets you move when the opportunity appears.

Long-term direction

Broader than automotive.

Automotive is where the group proved it could build. It’s not the boundary. Sectors of long-term interest are listed on the Group page; new ones have to earn their place.

We are early.

  • One operating business.
  • One in development.
  • Three in incubation.
  • A structure designed for more.

We expect the portfolio to broaden, acquisitions to matter more, physical assets to sit beside operating companies, and businesses launched today to fund businesses that don’t exist yet.

There is no end point. Just a better group every year.
